One thing we must always remember about Jesus is that he is always in control. In Matthew 26:53, when a large crowd of armed men came to arrest Jesus, he tells us, quite plainly, that he can call upon the Father and have more than twelve legions (72,000) of angels sent to his disposal.
Jesus chose to be arrested. Jesus was in control.
We begin our two-week series, “Jesus: Lord of All,” where we will focus on the events that led up to the crucifixion, most commonly known as The Passion. We will start with the arrest, the reasons for the crucifixion and the glorious resurrection. All of these events prove a truth that unites every Christian worldwide: Jesus is Lord of All.
