Leader Resources

Groups exist to foster spiritual growth and create community. They play a fundamental role in the health and overall growth of our church.

We realize that serving as a Life Group leader can be both rewarding and challenging. There is a lot of preparation, planning, time and energy that goes into any leadership role, but leading a small group of Christians as they grow and develop spiritually is no small task. The subjects tend to be deep and the discussion thought-provoking. Hurts, fears, hang-ups and frustrations are often shared and a lot of time is spent in prayer (both public and private) and quiet contemplation. As a Life Group Leader, you will find yourself both energized and exhausted, humbled and awed, challenged and encouraged.

But the reward of fellowship and life-long friendship, of seeing how God uses each member of your group to uplift and support one another, is a miracle unto itself. It is an experience that will change you.

It is for this reason that we encourage each of our members and friends to connect with a Life Group, but without people like you to lead a Life Group, none of this would be possible. Our goal is to equip you with some of the resources you need to lead — study materials, information on discipleship and/or leadership training, help with Realm and information about RightNow Media.

As more resources become available, we will add that information here. If you have any questions, please contact Patti Remaklus or Austin Seevers.

Weekly Sermon Study Guide

Summer in the Son

“Summer in the Son” was our sermon series in 2020 during the months of June, July and August. We took a deep dive into the first thirteen chapters of the Gospel of Matthew and discussed Jesus’ genealogy, baptism, early ministry and miracles.

We continue our “Summer in the Son” series in 2021 by examining the remaining chapters in the Gospel of Matthew (chapters 15-28). At this point in Jesus’ ministry, he’s presenting some very profound truths and putting forth some challenging ideas (at least from the point-of-view of the legalistic Pharisees & Sadducees). He continues to perform miracles (such as feeding the 4,000 and the transfiguration) and drawing massive crowds to hear him preach. The Pharisees, on the other hand, are increasing the pressure against him and trying to snare him in legal traps meant to discredit him. Jesus is fully aware of what they are trying to do and continues to boldly teach anyone willing to listen — even while those who hate him plot his death.

Over the next three months, we will discuss various important moments in Jesus’ ministry — his teachings, parables and miracles — and learn valuable lessons from each. Even though the Gospel of Matthew was written roughly 1,930 years ago, there is still much we can learn from Jesus’ words and actions, we just have to be willing to listen.
