Why is Easter the pinnacle of what it means to believe in Jesus?

That question is something all of us must answer at some point in our lives. After all, if Jesus was who he claimed to be, then death would have no hold on him. In 1 Corinthians 15, Paul gives us a great overall answer to that question, but he gets right down to the nitty-gritty in 1 Cor. 15:14: And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith.

During our ‘Risen’ series, we will take a deep dive into Mark 16, John 20 and Matthew 28 and examine the eyewitness accounts of Jesus’ resurrection and the reactions of those who knew him best. From fear, to doubt, to overwhelming joy, we will discuss how (and why) they reacted the way they did, as well as what it means for all of us when we fully understand that the tomb is empty.

He is risen.

He is risen indeed!
