The Road to Emmaus | ResurrectedKLM2020-04-19T10:08:17-04:00 The Road to EmmausSometimes following Jesus doesn’t always make sense. Sermon preached on April 19, 2020. QUESTIONS TO CONSIDER: Why do you think the two men were upset at Jesus’ death? What were they longing to see happen? Why do you think the two men were “slow to believe” even after they had been told by the women that Jesus was alive? Why are some people slow to believe in Jesus? Read Luke 24:30 and Luke 22:19. What similarities do you find in these verses? Why do you think it was at this point that they recognized Jesus? Why do you think the men returned to Jerusalem to share with the disciples what had happened? What might they have discussed on their journey to Jerusalem? YOUR CALL TO ACTION: The men stated, “our hearts were burning within us” while they were journeying with Jesus. As you journey with Jesus, what is God stirring up in your heart?
