God is in Control

  • God’s faithfulness isn’t subject to our location or situation.
  • God’s favor is upon His people.
  • When we have faith that God is in control, we can be in control.

Sermon preached on May 24, 2020.

QUESTIONS TO CONSIDER:

  • Describe the ways Esther was courageous. What do you think it takes to be courageous?
  • What did you learn from Esther’s self-control and patience in the way she went before King Xerxes that you can apply to your life?
  • Why is discerning when to speak and when to be silent a challenge? What steps can we take to make the right choice?
  • What other biblical characters remind you of Esther and her circumstance? How was God similarly in control in the other events and how did the other biblical character respond?

YOUR CALL TO ACTION:

  • Esther has demonstrated what it means to rest in the sovereignty of God. What does it mean for you to rest in the sovereignty of God?
