Women’s Ministry

The purpose of the Women’s Ministry at Worthington Christian Church is to encourage women to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and build meaningful friendships with one another.

We realize that every woman has different responsibilities in their day-to-day lives. Some work full- or part-time, some are busy stay-at-home moms, some are active retirees and some run their own businesses. With such a wide variety of schedules and responsibilities, the Women’s Ministry tries to offer Bible studies that are convenient for as many ladies as possible.

Women’s Groups

Our Women’s Groups are offered three times a year (Fall, Winter and Spring) with a break during the summer. Our studies are thought-provoking and pertinent to the issues, concerns and spiritual growth of new and seasoned Christian women.

READING THROUGH RUTH & ESTHER

Reading Through Ruth & Esther

We have all faced difficulties over the last two years, haven’t we? We’ve gone through a pandemic that locked down the world, church doors closed for in-person worship, students stuck at home and masks that have hidden our smiles… And as if all of this wasn’t enough, the sin of hatred seems to be trying to undo us all. Many of us may be wondering if this season will ever pass.

To all these things, God has two words of encouragement: R-U-T-H and E-S-T-H-E-R. These books were written to be read during difficult seasons. They were crafted for those who feel outnumbered by foes, outmaneuvered by fate, and outdone by fear. God need not be loud to be strong; He need not cast a shadow to be present.

Ladies, we invite you to join us for a 7-week study this January and February on the Books of Ruth and Esther. Even though both women faced different hardships, these two Old Testament books show us God is always working even if He appears distant. We look forward to reading, studying, and discussing these two wonderful books with you and discovering just how relevant they are to our lives today.
