Women’s Ministry

The purpose of the Women’s Ministry at Worthington Christian Church is to encourage women to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and build meaningful friendships with one another.

We realize that every woman has different responsibilities in their day-to-day lives. Some work full- or part-time, some are busy stay-at-home moms, some are active retirees and some run their own businesses. With such a wide variety of schedules and responsibilities, the Women’s Ministry tries to offer Bible studies that are convenient for as many ladies as possible.

Women’s Life Groups

Our Women’s Life Group Bible Studies are offered three times a year (Fall, Winter and Spring) with a break during the summer. Our studies are thought-provoking and pertinent to the issues, concerns and spiritual growth of new and seasoned Christian women.

Philippians

While the pandemic has definitely changed the way a lot of us go about our daily activities and pursuits, it certainly shouldn’t interfere with coming together online to learn from the Word of God. Beginning Thursday, May 28 we will meet via Zoom to discuss and learn from Philippians. Diane Daniels will be leading a verse-by-verse study of this wonderful book and the only thing you will need is your Bible. There will be no homework (unless you want it). 😉

Our Zoom meetings will be at 10:00 AM or 7:00 PM every Thursday from May 28 to July 2. Both morning and evening sessions will be identical and you are encouraged to join at whichever time works best for you. We also realize that you may not be able to attend every session.

Supplemental study information is available for those of you who are interested. RightNow Media offers a video series by Jennie Allen called, “Get Out of Your Head: A Study in Philippians.” The videos are about 15 to 20 minutes long and offer a good overview of the Book of Philippians even though it is not a verse-by-verse study. In her videos she looks at Philippians and inspires and equips us to transform our emotions, our outlook, and even our circumstances by taking control of our thoughts. When we submit our minds to Christ, the promises and goodness of God flood our lives in remarkable ways. It starts in your head. And from there, the possibilities are endless.

If you have any questions, or would like to join us, please contact Peggy Fenstermaker. (Just click Peggy’s name to send an email!)
